My name is Dave Hazeltine I live in Northeast Pennsylvania in the town of Bloomingdale, I have been fly fishing for the past fifteen years, and fly tying for the past ten. My favorite local fly fishing areas include; The Susquahanna river , Harvey's Creek, Frances Slocum State park, and Private ponds. I mainly fly fish for Bass,Panfish,Pike, and Musky although I do go out for trout once in a while though they are not my main gamefish.
I am a self taught fly tier with a lot of my own fly patterns I have created, and I can tie all the standard flies you can find anywhere. I am good friends with the guys who own and operate Dick Ackourey and Sons fly shop, and get a lot of good ideas and comments from them for fly tying. My main gear consists of all ST.Croix rods and Scientific Anglers reels and lines. The main reason for creating this web site, is to share any and all information I have learned and am learning with all my fellow fly anglers. I have around ten thousand fly recipes in my library I have been putting together over the years, and I have posted some of the basic patterns here on my site. Certainly there is just not enough room for all of them here so if you need a recipe submit it in the contact me box with your e-mail address and I will send you the recipe with a photo if I have it. If you don't know what the fly is called, do your best to describe it to me and I'll coraspond with you until we get the one you need. If you would like, I will even tie some up and send them to you!
